Lake Baskunchak is one of the most important places for me. Salt has been mined here since the 8th century. Salt reserves will be enough for all mankind for 1000 years. And right by the lake is Mount Bogdo,
a shrine for Kalmyk Buddhists.

On one of my visits, I had a spontaneous photo session of my friend. With a blanket from a local motel.
I edited photos in Adobe Lightroom and retouched via Photoshop.
